Clay Hand-building & Sculpture (ACA.F25.CHBS)

Description  

Students will learn a mix of hand-built pottery, enhanced by sculptural elements.

First class: make a jar/vase by slab-rolling the clay.  

Second class: make all the sculptural creations, adding accents and carving the details. 

Third class: glaze your creation!

Fourth class: start a new project of a 2-tier chip & dip bowl  More slab-rolling into bowl forms, create textural nuances that take your decorative bowls to the next level.

Fifth class: add decorations using slip trailing, caving and sculptural elements. 

Sixth class: final glazing session.
