Description

At JB Arts, we teach up to 50 students a week in pottery wheel because our students begin on a two-seater pottery wheel, allowing our teachers to guide students through the first few steps.  Students learn how to center faster, do smoother pulls and make more finished pots in an evening with someone guiding you hands on. 

Class #1: Have fun, try the steps, make wonky pots (mostly bowls).

Class #2: Feel Center, slow down your pulls and speed.  Remember  the steps from last week.  Love your wonky pots!

Class #3: Glaze your pottery.

Class #4: Remember the steps, and practice.  Learn to make plates, candle holders, and lids.

Class #5: Add textures and accents.  Practice making taller pots.

Class #6: Glaze your pottery.

This course is 6 weeks, including 4 wheel classes and 2 glazing classes. You get to keep ALL of your 16-20 creations over the 4 throwing sessions.  All supplies and firing are included!

You will get dirty.  We highly recommend you trim fingernails short, tie back long hair, wear closed-toe shoes and no hanging drawstrings.
