Description
This class is set up to have half the students throw on the wheel one week and HandBuild the next, with a glazing session every third week. Both handbuilding and throwing have overlapping lessons and skillsets; why not learn both at the same time or add sculptural elements to your pottery?
While hand-building, learn to make finely shaped and decorated pieces with intricate patterns and customized designs. Saskia's experience shines through as she guides students in creating unique pottery with personalized touches.
Jeff teaches pottery wheel skills using our custom made two-seater pottery training wheel! The teacher sits on one side and the student sits on the other giving them hands-on one-on-one guidance to fast-track their learning and make great pottery sooner. Students will learn to center their pieces, and how to shape the clay by feel for best results.
You will get dirty. We highly recommend you trim fingernails short, tie back long hair, wear closed toe shoes and no hanging drawstrings.
* NO CLASSES the week of March 10-14, 2025.
