Description  

Calling all adults who want to try their hand at drawing in a positive creative environment, with people like themselves, who want to get better at drawing at any experience level.  Learn to see the world in a whole new way with a great instructor with lots of experience and knowledge to share.

All levels of students are welcome to learn!  

Basic – an introduction to drawing. For beginners. In which I explore the art of seeing things as they actually are. The objectives.... overcoming the fear of mark making. Encouraging creative expression with a variety of simple and freeing exercises. Building on the energy of those explorations to introduce simple approaches to line work – shading – and contrast.

Intermediate – skills building really. Often polling participants to bring forward their desires for improvement. Techniques can be demonstrated in such things as... Composition. Gesture drawing to indicate figures and movement. Use of materials (pen and ink – conte – charcoal – etc) How to render 3 dimensional objects in a 2D space.  Lost and found edges.
