Description
Try your hand at a variety of mediums where every class is something new!
Glass Etching - Using computer printed stencils students cut out a design onto glass and we apply an etching cream to fog/etch the design into the glass surface.
Embossed Metal - Using embossing tools, we create dented patterns into thicker sheets of aluminum to make decorative wall hangings or book covers.
3D Printing Pens - these easy to use 3D printing pens have unlimited possibilities. We start off small and then play with other projects as you become more comfortable.
Interference Metallic Paint - A very special paint that gives unique lustre to any painting or style. They look good in two ways, directly applied to dark colours or mixed in with traditional acrylics to give them a look like no other. Both methods will be explored in this class.
Clay Hand-building - Make a planter with sculptural accents with a keen focus on creating drainage for the plant and watering your plant with ease.
Glaze Pottery - Using glazes or underglazes to achieve the best results on your planter from the previous week
Puppets, part 1 - Latex puppet head. Sculpt soft modelling clay into any head shape. We put the Head into a bucket and fill it with plaster. Behind the scenes, your mould will be emptied, and the latex coat will be applied.
Puppets, part 2 - Students will finish their latex puppet head by adding embellishments (hair, fur, decorations) and a final coat of paint.
