Join us in the upper studio at JB Arts on December 7th from 12:30-4:30pm with Melanie for a fun holiday themed printmaking workshop. No experience required!
Relief printmaking dates to before 220 AD, and is a great introduction to printmaking techniques. In this workshop students will learn how to design, carve and print a holiday-inspired design for use on cards, labels or gift wrap.
Using a soft substrate suitable for printing or stamping, students will hand carve their design, and then ink their blocks to print a small edition of holiday themed greeting cards to take home. Your design can be reused at home to make more prints!
Students are encouraged to bring a selection of printed images to choose from – these should be “close-ups” of a subject and no smaller than 4”x6”. All other materials and tools are provided.
