Description  

Develop your cartooning skills with this 8-week course exploring the imaginative world of cartooning.

This fun, expressive, and immediately accessible corner of the art world is a fantastic way to explore emotions, tell stories and develop creativity. In this course, we will be practicing our cartooning through a series of fun exercises, scenarios, and games while we encourage each other and share ideas to grow as artists. We will be
using a variety of media including pencil, markers, ink, and watercolour. Some of the topics of this course will include:

• Sparking ideas and moving beyond the blank page
• Designing effective characters
• Telling stories through a sequence of images
• Creating strong compositions, colour schemes, and moods
• Balancing word and image

This curriculum covers similar topics as the kids' course, but targets an older age group with an interest in spending a longer and more focused time developing their work.
